Free Condoms
Condoms help to prevent sexually transmitted infections, including Chlamydia, being passed from one sexual partner to another. They also protect against pregnancy. Under the scheme they are free to everyone and ACT pharmacy staff will provide an appropriate supply after discussion.
Free Chlamydia Testing
Chlamydia is the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection affecting around 1 in 10 sexually active people. Most people who have the infection do not show any signs or symptoms but untreated, Chlamydia can lead to long term health problems and even infertility. Chlamydia testing is available free to everyone via ACT pharmacies. It's just a simple urine test and you will be contacted directly with your results.
Free Pregnancy Testing
Visit one of the ACT pharmacies to collect your urine bottle. Return the filled bottle to the pharmacy for them to carry out the test, your results will be available almost straight away. Pharmacy staff will also be able to help direct you where to go next.
Free EHC (Emergency Hormonal Contraception)
Had unprotected sex or worried that your usual method of contraception has failed? Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) also known as the "Morning After Pill", is available free from ACT pharmacies. Pharmacies will be able to provide you with information and direct you to other services if you are still concerned, even if it has taken you some time to seek advice.
