It is really important not to ignore concerns that you might be pregnant. If you are pregnant you will need medical advice and support whatever you decide to do.

Help?
No matter how you think you might have got pregnant there is always someone out there to offer you help and support. If you live in North East Lincolnshire and are worried you might be pregnant, or have had a positive pregnancy test at home, Choices services can help you. You can access Choices at lots of different places across Immingham, Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

It is really important that once you suspect you may be pregnant to get advice from a professional service like your GP, School Nurse or Choices service as soon as you can.

Why? Well the sooner you get your results confirmed the sooner you can make plans for what will happen next.

In fact if it’s less than 72 hours since you had unprotected sex you can still get help that can prevent you becoming pregnant. This is called EHC: emergency hormonal contraception (sometimes known as the morning after pill) and you can find out how to get it locally here

Remember even if you find out you are not pregnant this doesn’t mean nothing should change. Getting a negative pregnancy test result is the perfect time to look at your contraception options for the future!
